LOVE!!!
So I convinced my brother to go along with me to see Ashnikko... This was his first concert ever and he likes her music but doesn't listen to it religiously like I do. He thought it was amazing! We got a good spot along the staggered railing in general admission - which I recommend going with rather than a table or a seat because the tables and seats are so far away from the stage. We arrived 15 minutes before the doors opened with a long line ahead of us and still got a great spot on the floor. And we had no problem finding parking.
The opening act was a Detroit-based band with Chloe Moriondo as the lead singer which I think was a great choice on Ashnikko's part! Ashnikko herself was very entertaining and hilarious, my brother loved that. Her performance was high-energy even though she was losing her voice.
The only negative experience we had was witnessing a fight that had broken out during the intermission - blood included. We weren't close enough to understand what was going on but it was still a bit concerning. Other than that, we had a great time and would definitely come back to the Fillmore for another event. (My brother would love it if you hosted Rare Americans soon!!)
